Late Christmas shoppers

How late have you seen someone shopping for Christmas 2012? Yesterday, I saw two guys in one of my newsagencies purchase cards, wrap and two gifts. They high-fived each other when they saw we still had cards and wrap available.

Are others seeing Christmas shoppers this late?

We have sold $500 worth of xmas cards, both bowed and single since the event. it goes well to leave them up along with the boxing day sales as more and more people are delaying xmas to take advantage of the cheap gifts.
Not my cup of tea but I’m not the shopper.

On the other hand, I watched a young man fill a bin near the checkout at Safeway this morning with Hot Cross Buns. Ridunculus !!!
Yes I still have Xmas and New Year cards for sale (only 10 pockets) and 2 rolls of wrap left !! I had Aussie flags in a bin on Boxing Day, never stocked them before, only have 2 left !!
Packs of playing cards are popular as ever at this time of year . Diary sales booming still – the business kind.
PLENTY of foot traffic, if only the makers of newspapers knew !!
