I am surprised to see the ANF involvemed in a project which aims to use Bill Express screens in newsagencies for advertising, especially since there is no disclosure, at this stage, of the commercial benefit for the ANF. Given the ANF ivolvement in promoting Bill Express to newsagents from 2003 and the millions its collapse cost newsagents, I would have thought that transparency on this new project would have been a wise move.
Click here to see the fax received by newsagents from Wow-vision media network about the screens.
WOW a whole 10 % of ad revenue!!!!
Who pockets the other 90 %?
lets see what % the ANF are on
All the ANF needs to do is be transparent. This is how they can start to win back trust.
Dead set, the ANF haven’t done a thing that has helped my business in the time I have had it.
Can any Newsagents show me any good they have done in the last three years and/or what has been accomplished that helps all Newsagents with common industry problems???
I’ve seen zip, and would rather see something done with more important things like distribution issues, NOT piss-farting around with something that will make them a quick buck.
Perhaps the ANF could get serious and show some direction relative to oversupply of magazines – a problem that is affecting us all
i use my screen for in house advertising, i dont need wow
yes, i don’t need wow.
yes, there are more important things they can do as what has been mentioned i have put my own screen up for advertising i threw that fax out
This offer is only good for those who unable/can not do their own advertisements. All is needed is a DVD/CD of powerpoint slideshow of products with a $50 DVD player. You then can advertise YOUR PRODUCTS.
If I am not mistaken isn’t there an issue with commercial Bluetooth messaging to mobiles. I recall a year or so ago Telstra wanting to install a Bluetooth broadcasting device in my Newsagency to advertise Telstra prepaid products as well as directing customers to my store as the nearest recharge point. It was canned by Telstra at the time because of the privacy and/or spam nature of the broadcast. Would someone who knows please correct me if I am wrong.
I reckon the easiest way is just connecting the screen to computer and put a powerpoint and just create a simple flash for ourself
@Angelo, isn’t the similar to what hoyts does at the line-ups?
though it’s not exactly advertising at hoyts..
We didn’t even have bloody bill express.
WTF then have they sent us a 3-page bloody fax??????
Junk faxes should be outlawed. They’re such a drain on resources.
What’s on the fax?
Y&G you seem to be upset about the fax . sit back have a cuppa coffee and when you are good to go again fax back 1 complete ream of paper to them with each one stating you do not want faxes . i have never done it but i reckon it would be funny
in that situation, it’s far better to use black paper….or so I’ve been told….
I am interstate and have not seen the fax. I’d appreciate an emailed copy sent to mark@towersystems…
Will get it scanned for ya, Mark.
A whole ream?? I’d be there for a week – the auto-feed will have a banquet on that.. chew, scrunch, jaaaaam
😀
Did it arrive? Took ages to get it uploaded from scanner to PC to Mac to you.
Assuming from non-acknowledgement, it didn’t arrive?
Can you fax it to me Y&G?? I’ll email our fax no.
Thanks. I did get it. Was out all day. Weird that it came from the ANF.
Cool.
Michael, it’s huge – dunno whether it’s out limited bandwidth or what, but maybe Mark could email it?
We never got the press release fax, and reckon copping this application form complete with terms and conditions is really off. Obviously they’re just sending blanket faxes, regardless of the relevance of the mailing list.
I might leave it then, thanks anyway Y&G.
Didn’t Guy Sherrington work for Bill Express in Singapore ?
