Kudos Australia Post for supporting their retail network through Covid

Kudos to all involved at Australia Post for the terrific support they have shown their franchisees through Covid. Regularly, they send care packages of masks, hand sanitiser and wipes, for no cost and without them being ordered.

This is excellent and helpful service, enabling their retailers to be well stocked for maintaining a safer workplace and retail store and having items on hand to give to customers in need, as I know some have done.

Everyone involved at Australia Post has good reason to be proud.

Shame on Tatts! They did nothing to support retailers.

TabCorp could and should provide screens for all franchised outlets at least.

To be fair, Tatts did provide screens to outlets for free.

    Thanks,
Where, I have not seen one and why aren’t they in all outlets?
Just asking as obviosly it’s not compulsory and therefore the cost I assume is borne by the Franchisee.
Could some one throw some light on this please?

Around the end of May we were offered the opportunity to express interest in receiving a sneeze guard from Tabcorp free of charge. There was a 4 day window before the offer closed. From memory they were quite small and there was a limit of 1 per store. Because we would have needed about 15 of them to go the whole length of our counter we didn’t take up the offer. There has been no subsequent offer since.

Thanks Shayne this helps expalin why I have not seen one installed out of the many newsagencies I have called on.
It’s not a good look for us as a franchise especally one that is an essential service.

We took up the offer of the 1 free screen per lotteries terminal that Shayne refers to. Despite needing to seek approval from the Lott to even change our operating hours during the 1st lockdown we received & installed our screen about 10 weeks after the announcement of the 1st lockdown. Like Shayne says the screen itself does not provide any protection for our staff serving at a 2nd register nor for our customers so we have gone to the expense of ordering and installing our own safety screen for the rest of the counter. Clearly Tabcorp have not taken their Covid Safe responsibilities seriously.

    Thanks Steve,
This seems the general message out there.
Bad organisation really bad on Tabcorps part.
