A colleague has asked me to pose this question, saying that on some weekdays newspapers papers are so thin that throwing with accuracy and safety is a challenge. So…
Wrapping thin papers is more of a challenge some days – older machines were designed for thicker papers. And yes, windy mornings can make accuracy a challenge when throwing.

I agree Bruce. Wrapping The Age Monday and Tuesday is a big problem. I find throwing them difficult too.
Amanda, Hi,
There are not many newsagents at all If you don’t have a secondary contract (distribution) and you are not Grandfathered, then technically you’re not a news “agent” you’re a subagent with a Distributor. If there is no direct account with the publisher, then one is not their customer or agent.

Thin papers should not be a throwing problem for distributors. With scale it is possible to have dedicated machines adjusted to wrap small papers.
