Actually you need to make up a label and send each one back individually then they will get charged for each individual one by Aus Post ! That might make them pay attention whereas I doubt they would even notice the charge for a single large letter.

Come on fellows unfortunately these are minor things that has and will happen for years it is up to us to train our customers if I see someone doing this I will say you dropped something they will generally pick it up and sheepishly take it away or hand it to me. Only once I asked a customer who got a bit rude is this how you keep your house? Worry over small things like this will only result in high blood pressure or eventually a heart attack unfortunately it is customers attitude that has to be changed these days, which is difficult and you also have to be aware that you do not make other customers in your store feel unconfortable with your comments.

These ads falling out aren’t always a bad thing. Had a special offer on business shirts fall out of an Australian today, reminded me I needed to update my wardrobe so I kept hold of it.
There are some that seem especially designed to fall out and they are annoying, those glossy square BUPA ads are a particular bugbear of mine.

I agree Colin – surely we can stop naval gazing and look to the bigger issues, but I guess this is a big issue for some. I hope their tactic of mailing back is effective and it reduces their blood pressure! 🙂

Geez Colin and Joe it was just a bit of fun, just like when I’m bored occasionally and will put the top copy of a newspaper underneath the second copy just to see the customer take the second copy….just amusement guys, no heart attacks or blood pressure problems here…just a quiet chuckle.

William, I like to put a freebie in the top paper (most recently the Richmond premiership sticker) and see if I can retrieve it at the end of the day.
Who knows, one day I might risk a $5 note.

I like it Reg, I might staple a fiver to a page in the middle so it looks deliberate and see what happens….lol
