Today was average for a Saturday superdraw, the last seven days have been well down on average for a superdraw week.

Gotta say our figures were pretty bad for the day itself. We have been saying for awhile $20 million isnt the entry prize level anymore its become higher due to an overuse of the $20 million saturday jackpot…People dont care anymore.
Tatts, drop 1 or even 2 superdraw Saturdays throughout the year and create one massive $50 million in midyear or some time we need it due to no other seasonal events. New years would not be my recommendation as we are all dealing with christmas and clearance.

Over the week im flat on last year. I think Saturday superdraws have lost some appeal for impulse buyers. My sales are up 4% ytd though so im not complaining.

Saturday was about the same as last Superdraw but the lead up sales were down. $21 Million just doesn’t stand out amongst the few decent Oz and Powerball jackpots lately. Especially when the Saturday Division 1 is usually split so many ways that it’s less common for anyone to win over $1 million.
Plus the marketing is done so far out that it is hard to get exact Superdraw sales figures amongst the other Saturdays leading up to it. They should really combine superdraws into 2 megadraws, June and New Years with at least $50 million division 1.

Jim, your sales should be up YTD simply because there have been more bigger crowd attracting lotto jackpots than there were same period last year. I’m up 3% currently but imagine that will fade unless we build to another 50 mil plus jackpot in the next 6 weeks.
20 Mil simply doesn’t make much of a bump on the radar anymore and they know it but have been slow to do anything about it. Too busy fighting lottoland and driving customers online ! 😉
