The best way to sell a few mags after the pumping up of the 20th anniversary of Princess Di’s death is to give Camilla a good pasting.

Am I living in a different world ?
Has there been anything in or on other media about this ‘marriage over’ / ‘kissing’ ?
Is it just a pump up to suck in the suckers ?
Maybe so huh…..
But lets not stress, personally I don’t give a damn either way 🙂

@Lance: I don’t think there has been.
Probably I would check the red tops like Mirror / Daily Mail / The Sun first of all.
Then the Times and their social column.
And Private Eye – they would have skewered it.
I notice that on the right hand side there are more “Australian stories/gossip” – where you turn the page.

@Steve:
They really did give Camilla a good pasting.
In the old cut-and-paste sense.
The left cover has her face looking very matte/shiny.
The right cover is probably more “real”. Especially where the teeth are concerned. Yes, more like a country squire…
And all the pink and orange. And the Woman’s Day yellow and black outline.
The jowls are very prominent in both.

@Colin:
I know!
Reminded me a lot of Raymond Williams and COMMUNICATIONS and his review of the major womens’ magazines in 1960s Britain.
I see that the New Idea uses “false document analysis” with a copy of the “Divorce” papers. And there is the “first person” emphasis on Camilla’s “guilt”.
