As a reminder abut how Lottoland operates, here is the story from The Checkout on ABC TV earlier this year:
Saw a TV ad for Lottoland Keno the other day, I wonder if Tabcorp (who probably make big $$$ from running the Keno offerings in the pubs and clubs and things) are going to fight Lottoland over this…

I think it’s dodgy that Lottoland advertisements give punters the impression that they will win more by winning division one with Lottoland. Lottoland advertise jackpots of $1 million more than Tatts.
However, in section 11.2 of their terms and conditions, they explain that the Jackpot will be divided by the total number of winners, and that this total is derived by adding the number of Tatts winners to the number of Lottoland winners.
An example of a $20 million Oz Lotto draw could have two winners with Tatts plus an additional winner with Lottoland. The two Tatts winners would get $10 million each whereas the Lottoland winner would get $7 million ($21M/3).
In my opinion, anyone who has bought a ticket with Lottoland in the belief that they’re likely to win more has been misled and should be refunded. Whilst it’s possible you can win more with Lottoland, it’s unlikely. This opinion is based on my interpretation of Lottoland’s terms and conditions and I’m open to correction.
