The TV ad for the $20M Tatts super draw for February 18 makes out the funner gets $20M. The way the Saturday draws play out is that each individual first division prize is somewhere between $1M and $3M, a far cry from the $20M. I wonder if shoppers comment about this to retailers.
Customers haven’t clued on. I always get asked several times after superdraw: “So did Saturday night go off?”

Hopefully they don’t catch on. If the superdraw and jackpot only punter works out being 1 of 15 winners in a $20M superdraw is no better than being 1 in 3 winners in a normal $4M draw they may stop playing.

This is the beauty of the superdraw. The morning after the superdraw there are new millionaires all over the country. Not just one or two (or none) like powerball or Oz.

One customer in 20 years. However, multitudes of customers comment that they like the prize to be “shared” when we tell them how many winners there are. I also have customers who purposefully buy syndicate tickets because they don’t want to win 20 mill, just one mill would be perfectly fine than you. Also have customers who only buy Sat lotto and don’t like Oz or Powerball because of the prize structure. Go figure.
