Which publishers support newsagents on Twitter?

Here are the two tweets from a newspaper or magazine publisher supporting newsagents in the last week:

FWIW, we also tweeted last week using #newsagents (which we do every month).

    There’s this one too

    And Gotch mention newsagents regularly.

Advanced Twitter looking for any of “*newsagent* *newsagency* *newsagents*” will give you lots more results and it doesn’t matter if it’s the word or a #tag

Oops. Mark can you please delete my second comment (and this one) – didn’t mean to post that.

I only looked for newsagents as that is the most common Google search entered for our channel.

Gotch and AFTC have less than 500 followers. It is more important seeing companies like ABC promoting Newsagents on twitter as they are to a much much much bigger audience. All efforts are great but the impact of a tweet to 131000 or 305 is quite different.

I had a customer chasing the ABC cricket book for about a month now (he buys it every year) and they only brought just days before the start of the season. It was apparently due out much much earlier.

    But they’re still supporting newsagents.

Twitter is a conversation, looking for one keyword or only considering the tweets if they have enough followers makes it look like all week only two tweets mentioned newsagents. It’s technically true, but not the real story.

I disagree Neil. No Aussie publishers use newsagent or newsagency from what I can see. The tern newsagents is what is most often used.

On the term newsagency the prime use of it on Twitter is in posts relating to news agency activity – news outlets, not the retail businesses I write about.

I don’t count Gotch as they are a trucking company, not a publisher.

Neil do you work or is your role responding to everything Mark comments on?

It is great having non-retailers comment on here when it is constructive but your comments are tedious and a waste of time for those of us who are time poor and who use this blog to help grow their business.
Please refrain from commenting unless it is to the betterment of this industry.
    Go and troll somewhere else.

    @Mark – Fair enough.

@Chris – I’m seeing that this isn’t a space that’s very interested in hearing any point of view other than it’s own. Almost every comment (not just from myself) offering insight or challenging a point of view is shot down. I’ll refrain from commenting in the future. (I’d suggest you check the definition of trolling, it’s not this).

Neil on your first point – I take it you now agree with my post.

On your second point, there is no evidence to support your claim. There has been plenty of disagreement here that has not been shot down.

Good luck Neil. There are so many sycophants on this site you’ll never get your point of view supported. Humility is not a word fletcher understands

Neil – yes I am interested in hearing other points of view but your point is to constantly nitpick over minor details, not the overall topic in discussion. It gives the impression that all you want to do is go in opposition to Mark.
I disagree with Mark on a heap of posts but I disagree on the actual topic, not on minor discrepancies.
Positive step that you will not post anymore but I know I will be reading your comments under a different name in the future. Just try to keep your posts relevant to the topic itself.

Andrew you are a troll – In Internet slang, a troll (/ˈtroʊl/, /ˈtrɒl/) is a person who sows discord on the Internet by starting arguments or upsetting people, by posting inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a newsgroup, forum, chat room, or blog) with the deliberate intent of provoking readers… see more here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_troll

Show a spine, tell people who you are.

My name is Andrew Trevithick. Now tell me who ‘Cuddles, Subaru, Former Newsagent etc etc etc ” are.
What a stupid question. From my observations anyone who disagrees with you is a troll that attracts your ire.

Cuddles, your last comment has stood for over a day so that puts the lie to you being banned.
Unless your a coward why don’t you try putting your real name in another post.

Isn’t it better to just ignore irrational, abusive, people, who attack the person rather than the argument? I feel sorry for such people and I sincerely hope they can help.
