Team Valour, I can see my mighty Rhydon flying the red flag as gym leader from the shop counter.

Nope, not playing.
But the game has made me break my habit of always staring down at my phone in public. Watching people walk into traffic and each other is amusing too.

I play it but that is only to connect with customers who play. Just like I know pretty much every name of every beanie boo, or when the latest issue of Vogue Aust came out etc etc. I sell lots of Pokemon toys, cards, albums, collectables and the added banter I have is the connection that differentiates me from big box retailers.
Change is happening so quickly and whether you agree with something or not is irrelevant, the fact that such a high percentage of my potential market (Retirees, School Principals, Execs, Unemployed, School kids…) plays Pokemon Go makes me think I need to have knowledge of it so it can help me connect with my customers.
What is sad is the judgement of some against players. We live in a diverse world, thankfully.

Not sad Mark, in this diverse world we have a greater range of things to do than chase nothing well i think its nothing can you tell me what do you do when you find one
Paul, yes sad in that the judgement is necessary. You don;t play it, that’s cool. I do, that’s cool too.

I have been in my newsagency for 15 years, my daughter is now 17, if it means that I get to spend time with her, talking, walking, making our relationship stronger and if catching Pokemon is what she wants to do then I will do it. Life is short have some fun

Even if you do not play Pokemon you should think about stocking Pokemon products. Everything sells. I sold a range of Pokemon card collector sets worth around $150 to 1 customer and this type of sale happens 2-3 times a week. Plush, kids toys, collector cards, albums – they all sell.

Yep, well in my area it is massive. I think it will be popular until at least Christmas
Pokemon GO as big as ever on the streets and in retail. I’m not talking about it much here as people were not that interested and I’m happy for the point of difference.

Not yet, still Pokemon Go Go Go here. I can’t wait for the Mario adaption.
Only level 14 unfortunately, if only the store was a Gym or pokestop!
Level 18, having a pokestop outside the shop is both a competitive advantage and a trap.
i don’t have a spare time at all, when i do have i am thinking how to improve my business
Eric, all work and no play makes jack a dull boy. You have to make time to have fun in this world, otherwise whats the point?
I am level 25, it is a good talking point with some of the younger customers we get in the store
I have got a little Pokemon range in the store which is selling ok. That is “playing it” isn’t it?
Level 13 here. Team Instinct.
Team Valour, I can see my mighty Rhydon flying the red flag as gym leader from the shop counter.

With the changes in the game it is still strong, plenty of engagement.
