It is back to school season in the UK and Ryman stores have a consistent pitch. These photos speak to a terrific range, excellent value propositions and professional marketing. The photos ought to inspire newsagents focussed on stationery and newsagent suppliers:
Looks like another “quality” UK brand has opted for the basement. Not keen on the plethora of sale signs nor the repeated bulk offers … half price, 3 for 2, buy one get one free. These offers are not well received by single shoppers, who can resent being forced to buy multiples.
Good selection though and I like the product signage, something I need to improve on.

Colin I agree on the price strategy. Unfortunately, this is the new normal in the UK from what I can see. It is coming to Australia. What I like about Ryman is the approach is professional, it feels integrated … better than WH Smith in this space.
