single strollers or trolleys are fine , my biggest problem is double wide strollers that are used by inconsiderate mums.

I find that mums with prams, strollers, etc, often have money to spend. It’s good to ensure they can navigate most of the store easily. They are also customers who shop regularly and will visit many retail stores…

always watch underneath their prams, they might forget to pay the things the put underneath most of the time or their few months old babies forgot to tell their mums the things they have taken.

I have no problem with prams and strollers coming into the shop. The thing that puts my heart in my mouth is goffers being driven over my 80 year old wooden floors. I had a customer who was extremely overweight and lost a foot to circulation problems. Every time they came in they’d insist on driving to every corner of the shop and I’d spend the whole time in a cold sweat waiting for the floor to give way.

Steve, I’d be tactfully explaining to her that your 80yo floors may not be able to cope with the weight of the goffer. Those things are heavy, could be up to 200kgs. Batteries alone could be 50kgs.
Offer to bring items to her to look at, in doing that you are building customer relations.

Lance, I have customers who are happy to park outside and have me come out and serve them but this customer wasn’t one of them. One of the nastiest people I’ve met but now moved to a larger town which has the medical facilities they need thank god.
