Before you post a photo of a lottery ticket anywhere, blur or hide the unique identifying barcode. If you do not do this, the photo could be used to claim a prize.
Advise everyone working in your newsagency and your customers – in-store and through your newsletter of business Facebook page.
There is enough petty crime in the world without criminals being assisted by publishing photos of live lottery tickets.
Just a thought Mark, you might also want to blur the ticket number …………..

On a side note, I hate how Victorian tickets show agents commission. I hope they never bring that into other states

Nothing stopping someone in the industry typing the number into the terminal though.

The exact thing Mark is warning of happened here in Melbourne after the Melb. Cup when a punter had her $900 winnings claimed by a ‘friend’ after posting a happy pic on FB.
