News Corp’s DVD promotion is proving to be popular, driving terrific sales. The only downside is the inconsistency between retail channels and between newsagents in applying rules regarding purchase of the DVD.
We do not like the promotions. We can only get a certain weight on the plane every day so we can’t increase our supply. Most of the people ordering the DVD’s will not buy another paper until there is another promotion. So our supply is out buy lunchtime. Not enough of the first DVD but thirty more on other days?

The problem we have is that we are expected to promote this DVD for 14 days and take coupons from papers to enable customers to purchase their DVD and yet Coles and Woolworths do not take coupons from papers they just sell the DVDs, customers notice this difference and are not happy with it

So the promotion run by the geniuses at News is popular? That’s great isn’t it. Given that the idea of the promotion is to sell more papers, why do the allocation idiots keep cutting our supply? During promotions! They are absolutely nuclear level stupid!
We’ve deliberately left them to their own devices over the last few weeks and even though we have managed zero returns (with 2 subs) on some days for the last 3 weeks, they still cut our supply; DURING A PROMOTION!
They are so obsessed with minimising returns and trying to destroy their loyal customer base by trying to drive old people online that they have completely lost the plot. They deserve all the failure they will inevitably experience. Idiots.

Glad this will be over in one more day , sick of running out of papers everyday after lunch just to upset the regular customers . Not a great deal of thought goes into running these promos
