A newsagent dent through this photo of Picture 100% Home Girls which cannot be sent to sub agents as it is not bagged as it usually is. This will result is 100% returns and that could play out in future supply.
The production error will be costly for newsagents and the publisher.
We received this tittle this morning also, however ours is in a bag.

Email response from Network was swift following notification.

Dear Agent,
Please be advised that due to classification issues, the 100% Home Girls #91 on sale today cannot be sold in your store.
Please remove this title from your shelves and destroy the stock. Network Services will be crediting you the stock as a title kill on Friday 16/1/2015.
We are awaiting confirmation of a new distribution, so please monitor your emails for an update.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your ongoing support.
Kind Regards,
Network Services

I’m not sure how widespread the problem is. I am aware of at least one other Newsagent impacted with un-bagged copies , as well as being aware of one who had a bagged copy.
Hopefully there will be a new Distribution otherwise I will lose the income from the roughly 16 copies we normally sell.
It’s good to see NW ‘standing firm’ on the issue with this publication. Certainly you would not expect a ‘limp’ response for such a title 🙂

Here is what the magazine distributor sent newsagents yesterday:

I suspect that Network have acted fast on this because they need to protect themselves legally (if a newsagent got the unbagged stock and sold it either not knowing the regulations or not caring, Network could get in trouble for not following the law)

is there a law stating it has to be bagged ?
