Encouraging diary sales in newsagencies

Screen Shot 2014-12-30 at 8.06.19 pmI was pleased to see the tweet from Collins Debden about diaries and had to respond to them to encourage their promotion of newsagencies as the go to retailers for diaries. We need to embrace every social media opportunity possible to promote our channel.

It would be great if GNS had stock of the diary refills that we have been chasing for customers for weeks now.
Every time we have tried to order them, they keep reporting as out of stock

We have had an excellent diary year.
I noticed that the range of diaries was reduced but I didn’t reduce any quantities so I haven’t had a reduction in sales at all.
I also NEVER go to sale with my diaries.
I am still selling current year diaries in October/November.
My main suppliers were Collins/Debden but I also used Distinguished diaries and
    Paper Blanks diaries (beautiful quality).
I also run a range of Filofax diaries for the
    more discerning customers.
I must admit I have had qualms about diaries being replaced by smart phones and ipads but that hasn’t been the case.
Stationery was well up in December due to
    diaries.
