Three days ago we put out a new range of Christmas-themed chocolate. Stars, trees, words – Merry, Xmas, Thanks, Wish – and some other tasty Christmas treats. Space constraints limited our display options but that has not stopped the range selling. Customers are loving the point of difference of this range. We love that!
Now more than ever in newsagency businesses we need to seek our new products and new suppliers to attract new shoppers as well as to offer more variety to existing shoppers.
Something I love to hear from a customer is: I never expected to see that in a newsagency.
Hi mark, we are in a shopping centre with Big W, Woolworths and 40 other stores.
I was tempted to try this range, but the price point scarred my away. May I ask, what competitors do you have in your centre for gift confectionery?

Two supermarkets, reject shop next door, discount chocolate shop nearby, several majors with confec. and a range of gift and deli shops with chocolates and confectionery.
No one has this range.

We are starting to see some good sales for our range of confectionery. There is a Xmas range and we also stock everyday items from the same supplier. Looking forward to working with them for Valentine’s Day & Easter as well.
We get ours from Melba’s in the Adelaide Hills – quality product, recognised brand, reasonable minimum orders and NOT sold by any of the majors.
That’s one of the points of difference we are trying to make.

David I love Melbas more for the everyday. This product here is for higher end gifting. They both work well together.
