The Mega Trading Card Collector Pack units that did not sell when distributed through Network Services have made their way to some newsagencies through Gotch. They – the publisher? the distributor? – didn;t even have the courtesy to remove the old pricing stickers. Appalling.
This scale out of stock that failed to sell is a perfect example of how broken the magazine distribution model is. The stock now doing the rounds again is failed stock. Newsagents are being asked to provide space, labour and cover the freight of stock that fails to sell again.
Magazine publishers who want a healthy newsagency channel need to lobby to fix this. Every time they use magazine distributors they are aiding and abetting this other behaviour that harms us.
Glad you mentioned they are GG because i boxed them for NDC returns
Good save.
Topped the Lot and returned/
should not have been sent out, BUT i sold one, go figure????? only got a run because its early in the month
rec-2 and sold 2 same day. only b’coz it was early in month otherwise it would have been returned early
Strange. Never got the cards on the first go round but got two of these packs.
Absolutely disgusted that one of these was sent out with a knife cut clear down the middle of the back, through the plastic and through the folder (clearly not done in transit as they were well packaged). Of course claimed as damaged but what a waste of time to even send it out in that state. AND as a second run. *le sigh*
Wendy that’s shocking. Now you have to return the junk.
with GG if you claimed it as damaged the chances are they will send you another one if they have the stock so look out for more junk
Indeed, Mark, and in full – for the remaining undamaged one anyway. The damaged one has been claimed as a credit and will not be returned.
I didn’t request a replacement, shauns, but as we all know, you never know what to expect 😉
HI CAN NOT GET ENOUGH
We received two copies and have returned them. The part that is frustrating was when issued this originally we requested two copies extra for a firm sale, only to be told there where none available.
This proves the point that Network didn’t know what they where doing with the original allocations and now Gotch also not having a clue. If they are trying to cash in on the World Cup the interest here in our little town is zero.
