A month ago I wrote here abut correspondence with the ANF about Hubbed. I published my email to the ANF, their response and my follow up. The ANF has not responded since. My questions about Hubbed remain. The ANF demonstrated a lack of interest in collectively communicating with and representing newsagents by not communicating collectively on Hubbed.
Perhaps they are considering a ‘back pedal’, or then again, they may just be highlighting their apparent disrespect and ignore of those who they are supposed to be representing.
Yep, I’d go with the disrespect and ignore reasoning.
When are elections due at ANF ?
I assume they do have open elections…..

Nominations close in 3 days for the vacant positions if anyone really wants to try and change things

you are right Glenn – if anyone really wants change then nominate for the ANF board.

It’s more complex than one person nominating. You need a block to control the votes. Then you need to attract members to the organisation to make it viable. There would need to be a plan. None of this is new. Newsagents demonstrate interest / disinterest by their support for their association. In the meantime newsagents show their support for the ANF ion their trust and engagement (or not) with what the ANF promotes.
I’m involved in other retail channels where associations are strong, respected and independent of commercial activity.

Has anyone got some thoughts on the Hubbed system that integrates into POS Solutions ?
Its being rolled out in the next month or so and instead of buying the hardware you just pay for software/licencing fee/support. But its not much cheaper than the full system.

Steele, can’t speak for the POS ‘integration’ but I’d more broadly question the value of bill payment. There is no upside. Pretty much everything else you can get now without any extra cost.

Is pos still around?

Jeff they sure are.
Hey POS people: I could have deleted Jeff’s comment but instead am answering for you. I hope this doesn’t cause you to go to your lawyers again.
