We’ve been promoting the Great Bakes partwork on the lease line, facing into the mall and it’s been selling very well. Given the mess that is partworks supply in Australia we go out hard with the first issue – using the dump bin approach in the photo. This works, delivering a good return on the space allocated for the launch and deeper in the shop for subsequent issues.
Great Bakes has been selling well for us too. However I’m less confident in comparison to other partworks that this will translate into a strong number of putaways. There does seem to be a large number of people buying it because they just want the silicone macaron tray … and for $1.99 who wouldn’t!

Same for us Jarryd, but I did early return some of these plus most of part 1 and 2 of the other cookbook partwork, we are getting snowed under with partworks recently and with xmas stock arriving space is getting tight. I’m even reconsidering my dump bin on our lease line, 50c profit per sale isn’t worth it.

Has anyone seen the Great Bakes partwork in Coles/Woolworths. I saw them in Coles last week. This particular shopping centre lost a Newsagency for about 18 months and did increase their magazine range and size so this may be the reason, but the Newsagency reopened 3 months ago and Great Bakes was only released last week?? Our Newsagency is in a complex with Woolies and I have not yet seen it in there.

Glenys – When you say ”i tried to order on line website not available. I will have to find a newsagent” DO you mean the subscription website?
