Kudos for News Limited

I called on News Limited to help address a supply issue and they responded quickly and professionally. Their help has been excellent because they want what we want – more sales.  I mention it here to publicly praise the circulation team at the Herald and Weekly Times. As a retail newsagent it’s terrific they respond to our calls for help.

Lucky you. We were ignored by both News & Fairfax whenever we contacted them about chronic undersupply. In one circumstance we were more or less told we should no contact them anymore because we no longer had a contract with them.

Can’t complain here, always helpful, both News and Fairfax, not only to us but also to our retail only sub agents.
A good pro active rep who is easily contactable by us and our subs is what we have always had, but unfortunately we do run out of papers at times.

I appreciate there are different experiences in different states. Ours in Victoria has been good.

Your experience is vastly different to ours Mark. 5 weeks without any Weekly Times delivered and no help from the rep, or circulation. Then they call and inquire why the subscription customers are not getting their papers.

Can’t wait for them to stop printing all together.

BTW, how long do they put you on hold for Mark? Our average time is about 30 minutes

Steven did you escalate to the head of circulation? My query was all handled by email. Okay I have the direct email for a senior person. They did respond quickly.

    Mark,
The Newsagent who we work through (we are now a direct-drop sub) has informed the higher-ups and they said they are “aware” of the issue. We have contacted some of these ourselves too, to no avail.
In the past, any problems that we have brought to the attention of managers etc. have been largely ignored.

It should not be this difficult!

If we are forced to contact the head of circulation to sort out a basic supply issue, then I hardly think they deserve kudos. It’s not like this is the first time either, it’s always a battle to get assistance from NewsLtd regarding anything problem, supplies especially so.
