Maybe he could have told them to buy the mag not just check it out, mags are dying because more people read them them walk out instead of supporting newsagents and buying them.
Not only read but also use the phone to take a photo (this is happening more with Gretting Cards) save the phone number as that is all they want from the Mag.

I wonder how just a cover display of the paper would go and the customer would need to come to the counter to buy it.
So no reading it first you buy it or only get to see the cover.
Disappointing – we have not sold a single issue. Food and healthy lifestyle magazines are generally good sellers here.
