I heard of mixed results for the special issues of New Idea and Woman’s Day from newsagents yesterday. While many reported more sales for a Friday than usual for the titles, none reported usual Monday sales.
Also, are customers commenting on their appetite for royal pregnancy stories?
Sold 1 extra New Idea, AWW same as last year. How many Monday sales have we lost to Coles? That will be the question.
Our Customers are getting “Magazine” sickness – too much of the one subject. AWW at least at the moment is the only beacon that it is Christmas. Perhaps the nail polish should have been sparkling Christmas colours to spark some excitement.
Flat, no interest whatsoever
Mondays issue still selling well. Friday not so good people seem to be over these extra issues. Lot of older customers are confused and most have $8 for both WD and NI so seeing 2 of each …………..
Naturally, SA didn’t get the special issues.
We will get them on Monday as usual.
The distributors think we live on the moon.
Probably, the real reason would be that
the distributor in SA probably refused to change his schedule to suit the publisher.
The product is probably sitting in the warehouse until Monday.
Oh well, let’s buy more cards and gifts and
reduce our pockets of magazines!!!!!!
Invoived for friday but it will turn up monday as usual which suits me just fine . I don’t really understand why they do this
Same story as Junes Qld Country just to hard to supply “but its on TV”
We have seen more activity today – but not for both. Shoppers are buying one or the other.
Barely sold a copy of either one, no one seems particularly excited about the news.
Sold lots of Leunig calendars!
Flat for us, only created confusion for the customers
Have sold less than usual, but my supply was increased by 100 more copies than I usually sell. I will be returning close to 100 copies.
DM send them to me, im in FNQ so wont get them til monday, BUT my allocation has been slashed in half???? thanks NDC, of course my subbies now get zero allocation so will cop it tomorrow
Pulled off the old copy of WD this morning, sold less than normal but not because of the friday edition it was who was on the cover. It seems any cover that has a Hewitt on it we find it does not sell as normal.
The friday edition is selling but slow. We will see how today goes.
