We are pitching The Monthly with newspapers because of the terrific cover and the story headline: The Honest Woman. This cover will polarise shoppers, that’s why we wanted it in a higher than usual traffic location. I am confident we will a sales boost as a result.
This is how we can grow sales of some magazines, by being tactical in our placement and engaging in pursuit of impulse purchases. I see plenty of cases where this works to the benefit of the newsagent and the publisher.
Is this in the comedy section

The PM deserves respect simply because of her office.
We might not like her politics but there is
absolutely no reason for anyone (including Tony Abbott) to be rude and personal.
I have placed the Monthly on the Lotto counter and it seems to be selling from there.

No! The Office of PM deserves respect not the lying cow that is currently and temporarily occupying it

John Howard lied repeatedly. Tony Abbot lies. All politicians lie. Some we let get away with it. Others we don’t. That political discourse plunges to the name calling of some of the above comments is disgusting and disrespectful.
This blog post is about being opportunistic in magazine sales. Anyone care to comment about that or are you more comfortable with name calling?

Gentleman if you want to be rude and act like Pigs please go and contact Allan Jones another exceptionally rude man. Mark I support you 100% on your last comment. This lie by both sides is shown when it comes to small which they both claim to support.
What this does show is something that ignites political passions will sell. The trick is to get the person with the right passion to see the matching publication.

Isn’t “semi-retired” a euphimism for not being able to get a real job?
