I’m thrilled with the sales of the My Kitchen Rules cookbook 2 from Pacific Magazines. We will achieve an excellent sell through in advance of having to pay for the title. Sell through is the key here. While some newsagents complain about the 25% margin, the reality is the margin dollars you bank are what really count. This is all about quality products which shoppers want. The My Kitchen Rules cookbook 2 is one such title.
What makes this title even more successful for us is that shoppers are seeking it out thanks to the excellent promotion by Pacific and the Seven Network. It surprises me sometimes that newsagents don’t realise the efforts some suppliers go to in driving shoppers to our front doors.
The photo shows our second display for the title. This faces shoppers as they enter the newsagency. Our investment in high-profile displays of the title is helping to drive our success.
We have sold out and tried to reorder and no extra stock is available.

Ian agree gotch is the distributor and we should not have to make any other calls to anyone else

i remember talking to someone at pacific mags that said that GG is nothing more than a courier company and if you want extras to give them a call direct , well i think pacific need to fix this , or just have direct accounts with them and let them deal with the delivery boys

Gotch has floor stock.

Mark, if they have floor stock why not send it out when extras requested??? Who are they keeping it for??

Have just rang Gotch and they say they do not have any stock available.!!!

Ian either they are misinforming you, keeping it for nexus members, keeping it for supermarkets or the call centre may not know. The Gotch approach to floor stock is appalling. No, in this case does not mean no.
I have just spoken with Pacific and am certain there is stock.

Thanks Mark,
Who should we speak to at Pacific??

Ian if you are in nexus follow their process. If not, call Gotch again.

No Mark, not in Nexus. We not big enough. Pacific have just rung us back and are going to look into this. They are also looking into Delicious which we have been told from Gotch the same story.
It’s annoying as we try to assist our customers and some cannot understand why we have these issues and go elswhere to buy the magazines.
