The proactive team at one of my newsagencies refreshed the Halloween display earlier this week. Check out the refreshed display in the photo. Talk about retail theatre.
This display faces out into the shopping mall, drawing plenty of passers-by in for a browse and shop.
This display separates us from the rather boring displays in nearby supermarkets and general retailers.

Hi Mark,
Would have thought that a reactive team would have reconfigured on the 1st of November… Think you meant proactive…
Either way looks good – but I can say we have noticed less interest this year than last… Hopefully the last few days will provide a bigger drive…
Cheers
Pete

I suppose we all have different experiences Peter. We were embarrisingly late putting up our display this year but I think it looks better than last years and sales seem up at the moment.

We spent a lot of time putting up an in store display last year which we thought looked pretty good – ha, all that got us was less that $100 in sales & abuse from customers for promoting an American festival!!
This year I have just put it on 2 stands out the front with no display – sold more in 2 days than in the 2 weeks last year.
Oh & this is still last years stock, didn’t need any more!

Narelle, last year every man and his dog jumped on the Haloween bandwagon and it slowed our sales too, It looks like this in not happening to the same extent this year.
Those who critisize the occassion as American don’t realise that it is in fact Celtic and as relevant to us any the U.S in that light.
