Aldi takes on EPAL over EFTPOS fees

Supermarket group Aldi has taken legal action against EPAL over its position regarding EFTPOS fees. The Aldi action centres on transparency of the EFTPOS changes being brought in by EPAL.  Click here for a copy of the Aldi media release on this matter.

Aldi would welcome hearing from any retailer with news of an increase in fees from their bank.  Please make email contact with Alex Richards here: alex.richards@aldi.com.au

I’ve always liked ALDI. They don’t sell newspapers and magazines and while they dabble in a lot of other stock it is on a short term basis and should other businesses any where near the degree the 2 big bullies do. Despite what many think they seem to stock as much local product as they can reasonably source and now they are an allie in the EPOS battle.

Brendan them joining this fight is excellent for those of us who are concerned about the unfair EFTPOS fee regime controlled by the banks and woolies and coles.
