Newsagents asked to promote newspaper iPad App?

Did I read that newsagents had been asked by a publisher to promote a newspaper iPad App?I wouldn’t do this if asked.

    Huh? The publisher wants newsagents to promote a technology that will lose those newsagents business? How does that work? And how does that publisher have the gall to even ask?

    We Received posters on Monday from the Herald Sun to go out the front saying ” Free Herald Sun I pad App” They went straight in the bin!!
