A very different magazine shop (gallery)

conde-nast-worldwide-news-1.jpgThe latest issue of GQ Magazine UK (air freight) give glimpse of the new Condé Nast Worldwide News. Opening in february, Condé Nast Worldwide News is concept store, gallery like, where people can browse style magazines and books.

While we don’t have the space or resources to head down this road with magazine displays, what they are doing is certainly interesting, especially in terms of promoting the print product.

Condé Nast Worldwide News is open to the public.

Looks brilliant,. The issue at the heart of the space problem is the high cost of space in Australia. If rents were more like I have heard it is in the U.S we could do some fansatic shop fits here. I don’t know what rent is like in the U.K but I’d bet that we suffer from a combination of gouging by landlord and government.

Mag Nation in Newtown (and elsewhere) has pretty much gone down this road… styling magazines as a lifestyle product rather than a disposable quick fix.

Hi hateBullies, have you tried Dynamic Supplies? We find them good.

Don’t much like the mag display. Looks neat, but very ‘cold’. And the vertically challenged would find it hard to reach the top level.

hate, while deals are important, it is the back end marketing and management support which will deliver bankable margin.

    hate, email me at cootanews@bigpond.com.au
there in my view appears to be a healthy price war going on in inks between various news agency groups and they are all undecutting office works by say $2 or more a cartridge. My thought is price near to office works on line. that is for my situation in a medium country town with no other major resellers besids the Post Office who do not at present have their prices on line. Marketing support with Brochures is a consideration though.

hate, if youve got a reasonable amount of competition around then marketing and brochure drops are essential to make you stand out. We are in an ultra competetive market and early this year almost doubled our year on year figures with marketing and pricing strategies.
