We are promoting the new part series, Precious Rocks, Gems & Minerals with this power end display facing onto our dance floor. We expect it to sell well since Treasures of the Earth sold well and this latest partwork is similar to that.
While this title may not generate the traffic of Art of Knitting or other stellar partwork successes, I expect it to garner a good following from existing shoppers and to drive some new traffic for us.
As newsagents are the only retailers, those of us who promote the title well are set to generate good business.
My sales benchmark data continues to show that partwork customers are 30% more like to purchase other items in store than a regular magazine customer.
talking of part works does anyone have any left over art of crochet left each week ? it is impossible to get an order of the amount i want ,i need a total of 6 and every week i get 5 no matter how much i ring up .. i am loosing interest in partworks
Its only good business if you can get enough supplies for all the putaway customers. i.e The on-going art of crochet nightmare.
No-way will we start another Gotch partworks. They have totaly let us down with Art of Crochet. I sent them all back!
i was told with art of crochet that if i want my order of 6 i had to increase it to 19 talk about blow my mind away . i said i only want 6 and the reply was that you will only get a % of what you want and that is why you have to tripple what you want .
come on how far into the series are we and still can not get a supply . still waiting on backorders from #1

There seems to be some confusion about the price of the Precious Rocks, Gems etc. as it displays $4.99 on some issues.
Why is there always a problem when anything new comes out, after a few weeks they become unavailable. This time it is the PRECIOUS ROCKS. My newsagent reckons he can’t get them. My grand-son becomes so disappointed. I give up.
Gloria, i own a newsagent and i cannot even get a supply to supply my two children . Customers always come first and i am just getting enough for them and have my own kids precious rocks on backorder . (i have actually told them it is now finished ) 🙂
Have a 6yr daughter who loves rocks and gems and i have got our name at a news agent and there is never enough, we may get one then miss the next we need 5 issue and 7 issue why can’t there be enough. You tell a 6yr that each fortnight she has to miss out. 🙁
Margaret I know how you feel, it’s the kiddies I feel sorry for. You get them interested in something new and then they are let down.
