A colleague newsagent has experienced a quadrupling of his supply of Inked magazine this week. That’s right, supply from Network Services jumped from 4 to 15. We cannot see any apparent reason for such an increase. So, I am interested to know if any other newsagent experienced such an increase. Click on the image for a screen shot from the Tower Systems software for the newsagency – you can see the supply and return data for the last six issues of Inked magazine for this newsagency. There is no apparent reason for such an increase.
I know this happens often with both magazine distributors. They say there is a reason – a promotion, a glitch or a mistake. Yes, always a reason, always an excuse. Magazine distributor representatives need to understand that it is not their retail real estate, labour or cash put at risk by such ‘mistakes’.
If you received an increase in supply of Inked, please let me know.
We got an increased supply but we are a network connections agent with a mag stand. The extra copies were for 1 facing on the stand with the other two for fhm and zoo.. We have the balance of stock in the tattoo section in waterfall. Tattoo magazines do very well for us and we will sell more on the stand at front of store. Cheers Jeff

My supplies and returns of Inked are
3/3, 3/3, 3/3, 3/3, 3/3 and yet I still got another 3 yesterday. I received 3 x WD on sales based replenishment so the companies know exactly what I sell so why continue to send me a title with NO SALES at all. It only makes sense when one realises that the companies are going to be redistributing lots more product to us with the closure of Borders and A&R.
It only stands to reason. If only the ANF would do their job and re-negotiate the newsagency contracts which allow the companies to treat us with such disdain.

No Quadruple. 2 less than last issue.
If you want to talk Football+ now that is a problem.

Today I find out that this is a Network Rewards promotion – promoted in the Connections newsletter. Late notice there. Still not happy about having to fund extra stock.
June, I don’t want an association negotiating a contract on my behalf ever. I don’t think it’s their role.

As a subscriber instead of paying $9.95 a copy of your favourite 4WD magazine ,like you do if you buy it from the newsagent you will pay as little as $6.65 A COPY.That means on a 1 year subscription you would SAVE YOURSELF $49.50 This is just one of the MANY OTHER BENEFFITS I CAN OFFER YOU IF YOU BECOME A SUBSCRIBER
