We placed the NW / OK! discount pack with our newspapers as I wanted to attract only impulse shoppers and not our regular NW shoppers. It’s selling. As I have written here many times previously, I am concerned that these packs educate shoppers to not pay full price. There are plenty of retailers with stories about this happening with calendars. Some would suggest that the management team at Myer is learning about the cost of educating shoppers to not pay full price.
