We are leveraging the early publication of Who today and the exclusive interview with Tiger Woods’ now ex wife by placement at the counter and our main newspaper stand. We want to capture as much impulse business as possible. I’d note that this early publication is for subruban newsagents in New South Wales and Victoria only. The rest of the country will receive Who tomorrow as usual.

We have had about 10 customers in already talking about the Who mag that was on sunrise this morning that is available today, only to be told we will not get it until Friday.
They get the S#$Ts with us and think I am holding out.
GG managed to supply Big league on a thursday so why not Who as well. Most of my regular who readers ( young females ) will be online today and will have already read the story 7 times over by the time I get stock tomorrow and will not buy a copy.
As I write this I have been asked twice more for a copy.
GG has really lost the plot lately.
To be fair, this is a printing and logistics issue. The story was embargoed and they could only print and distribute to surburban VIC and NSW in time for today.
Fair to whom Mark, Like I stated before they can manage to get Big league distributed on a thursday why not this. Also why advertise it as available today when the vast majority of agents will not get it until tomorrow. Not real fair to me so I will send them back tomorrow in order to get credits from GG this month instead of next month.

You are right its a logistic issue. The decision needs to be taken, do we service a small and disparate section of society while we advertise it nationally? Or do we do it right and delay 24 hrs.
They made a poor decision and, as usual, we will pay for that call.
Was it Woman’s Day a few weeks ago that did the same thing over a weekend?
Not just G&G – seems a precedent has been set, with nothing learned from the last one.
I just got an email to advise that the same thing will happen with New Idea tomorrow (Friday).
What on earth would New Idea have on the cover if Who has already done Tiger and Elin? Surely not that grub Matt Newton!!

We never get ours until Monday anyway so it will be 4 days old before it goes on sale here (NQ). We also don’t get NW until Wednesday.
