Promoting Julia Gillard and the Australian Women’s Weekly

julia-gillard-aww.JPGWe are promoting the latest issue of the Australian Women’s Weekly (out today) with Julia Gillard on the cover – out the front of the store and two other high traffic impulse purchase locations in-store.

I expect strong sales, it’s a good looking cover.  The issue has been getting strong radio coverage on talk radio in Melbourne this morning.

is any one else sick of pickup all the Maggi cookbooks that are falling out of this issue of AWW?
might have the staff hold each one by the corner and shake them out.

Would be nice to have the magazine to promote in the first place. Once again been let down by stupid delivery company and missing our 7 bundles.

Eric, how long is a bit of string? Not helpful I know, but all cases are different and all accountants charge different fees.Ring some firms and get quotes/estimates that are relevant to your situation.Sorry for coming across as blunt.

I’m amazed that Followmont (do they supply NE-NSW, too?) have got away with their ineptitude for as long as they have.
Is it just too much of a rigmarole for the distributors to hold these guys to account?
Are the distributors’ depots actually Followmont’s depots, so they’re stuck?

We’ve found that the problems we’ve had with getting the titles in our hot little hands are 99% warehousing or transportation issues. How do we know that? Because missing titles miraculously show up alongside the replacements – obviously missed on the right day. And for weeks in a row, copies have been missing from multiple-title parcels.
Whenever we’ve mentioned issues with deliveries (as opposed to distribution), the distributors are extremely uncommunicative on the topic, yet cop the shortage reports. Not a week goes by where everything is in order. Not one.
Yet it’s easier to just send replacements, rather than ream the arse out of those who stuff up ad nauseum.

    Very GC..

Actually got told by followmont that they sub contract out our run, and that the driver is new. Bad luck i said, if we make a mistake in our shop we have to fix it immediately so why isnt GG, Network, Followmont or subcontractor making sure the mistake is fixed immediately either by replacement or original stock. Not next delivery day which is totally unacceptable.
