Having worked for Note Printing Australia I can say the fastest way to check 50’s is to try to tear it. Polymer should not tear unless left exposed to sunlight.
Counterfeits are usually paper and tear to show white in middle. Also, I never saw a window that came close to the original. They are stuck on.
If you happen to have a black light the paper notes glow white under them whilst polymer doesn’t
Hope this helps.

The other easy thing to check with the Window is to just see if the embossed “50” on it is actually there or not. I do that most of the time when handling cash and it tends to be the easiest way, apart from feeling/ripping it to quickly identify a fake.
