Check out this hang-sell approach to roll-wrap. It is a visual improvement on the bins (vertical and horizontal) which have been traditionally used newsagencies. This hang-sell approach is easier to shop. I think customers will like it. It will be interesting to see how it performs.
We’ve employed this hangsell appraoch for over 18 months and the results have shown strong sales growth.
Not only is it easier to shop, it looks more professional – more plannogramed. Its more visually ‘organised’ than traditional rollwrap displays.
Its also worth noting that many of the majors use this hangsell approach.

There is a simple plastic loop you stick on the end of the roll.

i did hear 12 months ago that hallmark were going to change their roll wrap to hangsell for the majors, but not us newsagencies.
when i moved my cards around at the begining of this year, i aquired the self adhesive hangsell hooks and have had great success. they look better, are displayed fully, and the slat wall pegs can be placed high because they are so long, customers can still reach them.
i have noticed also that customers who pull them down to check the price up close, dont put them back, either because it is too difficult to hang, or once they have it in their hands they feel some sort of comitment. im not sure, either way they bring it to the counter and buy it.
