Promoting Good Health magazine

fhn_goodhealth_oct09.JPGWe are promoting Good Health magazine and the free pedometer gift at the entrance to our main women’s magazine aisle.  Plenty of collateral made the display easy to create.  I like this stand because it is easy for shoppers to browse and purchase off.  I also like that it is compact yet with a good visual impact.

This is the third time we have promoted the relaunched Good Health here.  It does well for us.  We will leave the display up for a week.  It should perform well, especially if they are supporting the issue with advertising.

How did your Good Health arrive in one piece?

The pedometers fell off all of mine before they got here.

I stuck ours back on with Sticky tape as tackfully as possible. What else can you do?

dear oh dear B so feisty yet so female –

good grammar, spelling, enunciation and pronunciation is as important as good posture and diet. I know your mother would have told you that. Posting on a blog is no excuse for laziness.

Since when was “obviously you all very busy” correct grammar. Shouldn’t it be “obviously you are all very busy”, I know you will correct me if I am wrong anon as you are never wrong yourself. In your case being a dickhead is not gender bias.

Now, now boys (and girls) be nice!! Everyone is entitled to their opinion.

For the record, good old Mum IS a proof reader and compositor by trade so english and grammar IS her thing, sadly I was always more a maths and science gal myself!

Keep smiling and always remember, today is what tomorrow was yesterday so enjoy it while you can!!

When has anon ever offered an opinion, he/she/it just snipes from the sidelines and offers no input to any blog other than to prove you do not need to be smart to use a keyboard.

    anon is correct.

Why is there a need to use incorrect grammar and spelling on a public site such as this when it is just as easy to spell correctly, use correct english and phrase comments in a proper format. Otherwise it is just laziness. We are all in the ‘literature’ business so I see it as hypocrisy when you get your knickers in a knot because you are criticized by someone over appalling grammatical standards when you in fact are the purveyors of fine reading and instructional material that on occasion seeks to improve literature standards.

Some of the english used on this site is so childish and unprofessional that you should be ashamed to call yourselves business people let alone newsagents.

LOL. Poor g. I imagine you proof-read your lecture a dozen times and still you didn’t proffer a grammatically perfect paragraph.

Methinks you need to relax (or even “chillax”) and understand that in the blogosphere, casual English (fyi. the rule is to capitalize languages, they are proper nouns) is preferred. Here you should write the way you speak.

Keep in mind that punctuation and grammar are relatively recent inventions in language, added to ease reading the written word. Before that, it was non-stop words and the lack of punctuation and grammar mimicked the way language was spoken.

It’s the difference between “parle” and “langue.”

    Cheers,
    Jason
