Promoting second issue of Prevention magazine

fhn_prevention_oct09.JPGThe second issue of Prevention from Pacific Magazines went on sale today.  We are repeating the promotion strategies which worked for us last month including this display with our main newspaper stand.  We sold three times the initial allocation of the launch issue.

In addition to the display in the photo, we have the new issue of Prevention on display with our weekly magazines (Woman’s Day and New Idea)and in our health section.

It is good to see allocations have been increased based on sales of the first issue.

I have high hopes for Prevention because of the sales last month and the considerable marketing bidget which should drive traffic.

Our allocations have be increased too which is great. Hopefully we’ll increase in sales this issue with it in three prime postitions.

This title has really hit the ground runing, they must be doing something right.

I don’t mind the size. The floor stand and the counter unit make it easy to promote. It’s a better size than the US version.

I’ve done a similar display to yours, putting Prevention posters in the lightboxes (normally reserved for newspaper headlines) and having stock right nearby in the floorstand.

I also tried the posters for Australian Traveller in the lightboxes last week with an airstand right in front, and sold every copy (at 50% margin!). Seems to work pretty well, I’m being careful not to make this area prone to store-blindness.
