Linux magazine shows how to distribute CDs and DVDs with a magazine. Check out the latest issue. Inside the magazine you will find a CD. No plastic pack. No box glued to the front. The CD is in a slim pack in the magazine. The magazine remains browser friendly. This is a nice way for the publisher to distribute digital content and deliver a product which works for retailers and browsers. Now if only other publishers could follow this lead.
Mark, many PC mags do this, except the holdouts that do PCuser & APCmag. I’ve complained over the yeas to ACP…
My newsagent takes the discs off the cover before putting the mags in the pockets, interesting that not many people take the disc’s once the mag is purchased.
Also, I’m pretty sure I saw Campbells newsagency in Marion Westfield get delivered a whole stack of about 40 APC mags with no disc attached to the front, asked about it but one of the girls wasn’t too sure on specifics.
