We have given Australian Traveller prime space in our small travel magazine section this month. We want to drive sales because of the bonus commission opportunity offered to all newsagents as a result of conversations through this blog. We will supplement this with time for the magazine at the counter as well as time above newspapers on our newspaper stand. It is not often that a publisher listens to newsagents and offers 50% commission on sales. The least we can do is push Australian Traveller in our newsagencies.
Those who contributed to the discussion here with the publisher ought to feel good that their contribution led to this opportunity.

I stress the importance of newsagents supporting this investment and initiative by this publisher and push to increase sales of this issue. It will demonstrate the strength of the newsagency channel and send signals to others.

When our Impact merchandiser arrived she was out of POS for Australian Traveller, so I emailed Quentin to let him know.
Innediate response was to send POS directly to us by overnight express post!
I have never seen from a publisher, service like this before in my seven years in the industry.
