We are promoting the launch issue of Prevention magazine next to our main newspaper stand as well as with women’s weeklies and in the loctaion where Prevention will usually be located.
We plan a bold front of store display for the weekend to attract passers-by.
The floor stand for the launch issue of Prevention sent out by Pacific Magazines is brilliant. It required no assembly. This is a huge time saver for newsagents. The same with the counter unit. It is the attention to detail on things like stands which can save newsagents valuable time and feel better about in-store promotions.
With $2 million being spent promoting the launch of Prevention, every newsagent ought to have this title in a prime location – to trade off the baack of the massive spend.
Every newsagent would have them in prime locations if some of that $2mil was spent on every newsagent.

I received my plastic counter unit in a damaged state with a top flap section broken with jagged edges.
Anyway decided to still use the main box by cutting off the broken section and trimming off the sharp edges. This is bcos the small size of the mag which will be lost if I left it out.
I remember we received uk/us? edition before but they didn’t do very well so we shall see about this aust ed.

Not all bins came up..I saw a flat one the staff said was too heavy to bother with.
Maybe your store gets special treatment as the rest of us don’t have the same voice as you.
Also the small size of the mag will get lost in traditonal fixtures and this would normally be you complaining about the size.

I’ve sold 4 so far today, surprised me too! The last mag of this sort died here. The stand is a ripper!

Mary, you must be mistaken, these stands are not heavy at all!
Pacific sent the bigger stands to the top volume stores.
The magazine size is fine thanks to the units supplied to support the title.

We got the little stand, which looks really good on the flat stack area.
I think the size of it, and the stand steers Newsagents to put it in the “Publisher viewed, flat stack/hot spot”.
