A colleague sent me an email about a thief who stole crossword magazines from his newsagency but left the tops. Is this the work of a compassionate former newsagent or newsagent employee?
Obviously a discerning thief.
It’s amaxing the lenghts some people will go to, to get their daily fix of Lovatts

They must think that by topping the mag then it is suddenly not theft, and they are not a criminal.
What they are doing is robbing the newsagent of hard earned profits. All you can hope for is that something of thiers gets knocked off it it stuffs thier day.

If it was those import crosswords it might be a former Newsagent, saving the Newsagent time buy tearing of the cover and turfing it….Old habits die hard.

Did they know to keep the issue number on the top?
Did they bring the tops back, or did they manage to top them while stealing them in the shop?
