Mall posters drive ink sales

fhn_ink_mall.jpgThe posters we have placed in the malls, away from our shops at Frankston and Forest Hill are working for us.  In both stores, customers have mentioned the posters when buying ink from us.  We have posters on display around each centre – the centres provided the space without cost, we provided the posters themselves.  The same collateral is also on display at the websites for each centre.  Plus, we have flyers on display at customer service booths and material included in newsletters sent out by centre management to their database.  We were careful to craft a compelling call-to-action message targeted at the shopper.  As I noted, this campaign is working, customers are buying ink as a result!

Sounds like you kissed and made up over the early morning penalty fees then? If you apply your same philosophy in reverse these advertising signs werent included in your original lease so i would have thought you would have offered to pay market rates for advertising space, bit hypocritical if you dont

Helen, Thanks for your concern. We did resolve the tax they imposed on us for opening ‘early’. While access to advertising poster space is not part of the lease, it is available to tenants who ask, who create a compelling offer and who create professional collateral. If pursuing the opportunity makes me a hypocrite in your eyes so be it.

The cynic in me just wonders why, when you used your blog to push the barrow of being victimised under your lease, when the matter was resolved why you didnt update the positive outcome to balance your earlier comments,or do you like portraying yourself as the downtrodden victim when it suits only to push your own agendas.Hypocracy in journalism,of which blogging is a form, shows narrow mindedness and a lack of credibility.. in my humble opinion anyway

Helen, you are making assumptions about the timing and nature of resolution – which I would note is not yet complete. I didn’t and don’t see myself as a victim. Thanks for another label.

    No label Mark,just my observation!
When one publishes their views in an open forum such as this blog, you must be prepared to accept and be open to comment, some of which will obviously differ from your own and some you will even downright disagre with, but generally when someone takes an opposing view to yours you attempt to discredit or belittle them, which doesnt always allow for,or foster constuctive informed debate. If you purport to act in the newsagency channels best interest and want to be seen as a champion of the industry and have your blog be seen as the vehicle to do that(remember you do call it the Australian newsagency blog” not Marks newsagency blog and i dont recall any industry group acknowledging you as their spokesman,me included, who has been in this game 23 years) then you must embrace impartially both sides of a debate, thats all

Helen, I am happy for people to comment on anything here as evidenced by the diverse views. rake back through 10,000 comments and you will see than many opposing views are not discredited or belittled by me. I think your comments on this topic are misdirected. You’re entitles to your view. I’m not forced to agree with you thankfully.
