The new issue of Vogue (British edition) went on sale this morning. The old issue is not due to be returned until next month. We don’t have the space to have two issues on the sehlevs. While the distributor, NDD, will argue that the old issue may sell, I doubt they would take the risk if it were their money at stake.
They can’t argue that it might sell; because the new issuse is in it’s place and the old issue is taken off to permit room for the new issue.
They need a better argument than that I’m affraid. Maybe NDD can come up with a better alternative?
The other thing in this case is if you return it for this month it has to be returned full – costing the Newsagent money again in freight. If you let them keep your money for a month you can send the tops the next month.
Why do they have to be early returned full anyway? Are they planning on redistributing an old issue?
