We have more Rugby magazines in our Melbourne newsagencies than AFL magazines. Our main AFL representation is team specific titles, which do not perform well for us, and a weekly newspaper. I am not sure if this lack of AFL representation is just our newsagencies or statewide. Maybe it says something about the literacy of rugby followers compared to AFL followers.
Is there a mixture of Rugby Union and Rugby League there?

Up here we place the AFL mags with the womens fitness mags, they seem to go together.

I’ve never noticed that, I don’t look at blokes shorts!!!
A better question is why do NRL fans call it football, when they hardly kick the ball?

At least in real footy you dont get a point for missing…

Yeah, when we miss the goals or points the other team gets the ball.
This type of AFL/NRL (Or GFL/GRL) banter goes on every morning with customers in my store, not just with me but more customer on customer. I stay out of it but it’s actually build up regular clientele who love to have a quick chat, moan, whatever.
It’s all good fun.

Good call Andrew, everyone knows that blokes only play thugby because there’s no skills involved and they know they are not good enough to play AFL.
