We are promoting Harpers Bazaar at the counter this week. The free umbrella and winter weather in Melbourne make it a good counter offer. My only complaint is that we were provided one poster with which to promote the title. We improvised – as the photo shows. Note the book next to the magazine . We figured A Guide to Men may be of interest to Harpers Bazaar customers.
No poster, no counter space, and no way of fitting in the rack, so rather than put it elsewhere I’ve cut off the umbrella (thank goodness it’s a cover return) for buyers to collect at time of purchase. It’s a good freebie, but I wish publishers would think about out how they end up being presented, as I doubt that the add-on will be influencing sales much here.

its started to rain here so the mag is at the door buy the umbrella and well throw in the mag as well.
