The report is the result of research by Media Management Center (MMC) at Northwestern University, partnering with The Newspaper Association of America Foundation, into better ways of engaging young people in news. Wired summarises the report well.
These findings seem to point to a solution like TweenTribune.com – a daily news site for kids 10-15 that serves up AP stories of interest to kids.
