Have I missed something? I thought that the old issue of a title was returned when the new issue came in, in most cases at least. We received the January issue of Australian Gold Digest yesterday. The December issue is not due to be returned until next month. Of course, we have sent it back early. Many newsagents would not. I have checked out the December issue of Australian Golf Digest. There is no reason I can see inside the magazine for it to have an extra month on the sehlves.
Bloody oath! I’m always looking for stuff like that to send back. I cannot see the point in doing it, only that they are getting the interest of MY money for an extra month.
I’ve found many titles from Network with the same situation. New titles in this week, old title not due back until early or mid Jan 09.
My returns lately have been over the top.
i questioned it a few months ago and they said it is the pub;ishers that decide the recall date .just a blame game like usual
I’m getting a little tired of this one way commercial arrangement. Distributors must start to lift their game and stop this abuse. Its bad enough that they dump extra magazines over Christmas without sneekily (sic) extending the titles dates.
