Hoping about lottery

ozhope.JPGOzLotto sales have been strong on the back of a $20 million jackpot.  Selfishly, I hope it does not go off tonight.  A couple more jackpots would work nicely for us leading into Christmas sales, very nicely indeed.  As I travel around newsagencies I am seeing softening in trade – a lottery jackpot could slow that and give us an opportunity at a good Christmas.

It is good, we actually had a better day in lotto sales today than last Saturday – which hasn’t happened in a while.

Mark, if the jackpot doesn’t go off until a week before Christmas or even Christmas week, then it would be a great lotto sales Christmas (especially with the New Year’s Tattslotto jackpot as well.)

Is anyone else having problems getting printer rolls for their tatts machines?

Twice I have called Golden Casket and both times they said they’d call me back and they haven’t. We only have 2 rolls left!

I’m not at all impressed with how Tattersalls have handled the changing of the courier service. Sure it saves them money but the service has been terrible and we’re paying more for it! Not to mention the poor courier lady who lost her business and investment.

Andrew, are you ordering them through the machine? I’m losing my temper with these new Qld machines though. They scan tickets and coupons far worse than the old machines creating a huge line.

I wonder if they’re to get people using registered games more and then pushing for punters to go online? Lessening the foot traffic in our stores.

Yeah, ordered them about 3 weeks ago through the machine.

After spending about 2 hours on hold across 1 week, finally we got a box of rolls when we only had 1 left.

Was getting a bit worried there.
